I was given this product to review. I will give it a thorough, but unbiased, review.
First, the package arrived very quickly, the product was wrapped very well in bubble wrap, and was protected with a sturdy and appropriately sized box, and it was easy to open. The radio itself comes in a nice cardboard box; not that thick plastic shrink wrap that is so hard to open.
Included in the box is the radio, wall attachment plate, 2 screws with wall anchors, and a one page set of instructions. The radio is approximately 3 7/8" in diameter, and 1" thick, so it is fairly small. The instruction page is English on one side, and what appears to be German on the other side. I could not find a country of manufacture on the radio or the instructions. The instructions are almost superfluous, as the installation and operation of the radio are self explanatory. The radio comes with a back plate that can be attached to the wall with the included screws and wall anchors, or silicone caulk (not included).
The knob turns the radio on, and controls volume. The button activates a scan / search function which locates the next audible FM station. So, you turn it on and push the button until you find a station you want, and that's all there is to it.
There is no tuning knob, however; it really isn't necessary, since most people listen to the same station while getting ready for work etc. If you change channels a lot in the shower, you might want to look elsewhere.
The radio has a proximity movement sensor that will turn the radio on to the last station and volume level. It works well. My only suggestion regarding this feature is that; you may wish to attach the radio to a surface in the shower that points away from the rest of the bathroom, so that it only comes on when you step into the shower, and not every time someone walks into the bathroom.
The reception is very good with this radio. I was surprised, actually. It does better than another high end transistor radio that I have.
The sound quality is also very good for a radio of this size, and music sounds good on it, not tinny, or harsh, like some other radios with very small speakers.
The construction of the radio is very good. It feels and looks very well built, and I really cannot find anything to criticize in that regard.
It also has a waterproof function, something that makes me very favorite
I would recommend this radio to anyone looking for a nice, inexpensive, simple, well designed shower radio.
